Denali Star: Anchorage - Talkeetna - Denali - Fairbanks

The Alaska Railroad operates year-round northbound between Anchorage, Denali, and Fairbanks. During the summer, travel in reserved seating in standard coach car or upgrade to state-of-the-art deluxe domed railcars.  Dining cars are only available during the summer months on this route.

 

Coastal Classic:  Anchorage - Seward - Anchorage

Southbound trains from Anchorage to Seward operate with both standard car and the domed railcars.

 

Glacier Discovery:  Anchorage - Whittier - Anchorage

Southbound trains from Anchorage to Whittier operate with standard railcar only.

Gold Star Service Now Available on Denali Star and Coastal Classic Routes!

Travel the Alaska Railroad in style aboard the most deluxe domed rail service in Alaska! Two deluxe domed railcars are available on the Denali Star from Anchorage to Fairbanks, which stops in Talkeetna and Denali. One GoldStar car is available on the Coastal Classic between Anchorage and Seward. Each double-decker domed railcar accommodates 72 passengers and offers 360-degree views and an open air viewing platform. This service provides reserved seating in the domed upper deck, a commemorative GoldStar gift, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Each GoldStar car has its

own dining area on the lower level. A bar attendant is also available to provide libations.
