Chugach State Park Hiking Tour - Half Day - from Anchorage

Spencer Glacier Hike including train transfers from Anchorage
Enjoy a hike amongst beautiful scenery, blue icebergs and onto a majestic glacier. Arrive at Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop aboard the Alaska Railroad. After a short van ride, you will be outfitted in PFDs and spray skirt.  Kayak across the Spencer Lake about 1.4 miles (about 30 minutes) to the other side of the glacier.  Upon arrival to the glacier, get outfitted with helmets and crampons. After a brief safety lesson and practice getting comfortable with the crampons, the group will venture out onto the glacier itself. About two hours will be spent exploring the glaciers features, including crevasses, ice caves, moulins, and more. Experienced glacier guides provide information on local wildlife, history and glaciology. Return to Anchorage by kayak, van and train. Glacier Discovery Train and Guided Hike from Anchorage

Spring Gray Whale Watching Cruise with roundtrip transfers from Anchorage

Katmai National Park / Falls - Day Tour from Anchorage

Fly from Anchorage to the world's most famous bear viewing site! Depart Anchorage early in the morning aboard a wheeled plane flight to King Salmon or Kulik (approx. duration 1.5 hrs). On arrival in King Salmon or Kulik, a local representative will transfer you directly to a seaplane for a 20 minute flight to Brooks Camp. After a short safety briefing about bears by a park ranger, you are free to explore the nature preserve and enjoy unguided bear viewing for about 4 to 6 hours. Viewing platforms are connected by walking trails, and are strategically placed for commanding views of brown bear activity. Rangers are based at platforms and on trails to provide information, safety, and to rotate viewing groups during busy periods. Depart Brooks in the afternoon and connect in King Salmon for your return flight to Anchorage in the evening.

Bear viewing at Brooks River Falls is quite dependent on the annual salmon runs, with the most reliable viewing from about June 25 to July 25 and September . However, often bears are in the area throughout the summer months .

IMPORTANT: Flight schedule between Anchorage and King Salmon/Kulik might change without notice. Especially during the month of July flights are very limited and flights sell out very quickly. Depending on availability the flight from Anchorage may depart as early as 6:30am and as late as 9:30am. The return flight from King Salmon can be between 6pm and 8pm.

Your experienced guide will provide any instruction on the fly-fishing techniques and equipment. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the lodge before joining your guide for a day of fishing. Return to Anchorage by float plane in the evening. Whether you are a novice or experienced angler, you are bound to enjoy fishing in remote Alaska!
