In the afternoon, depart on a deluxe bus on the Seward Highway south of
Anchorage to Portage Lake. Look for Dall Sheep and beluga whales along Turnagain
Arm on your way to Portage. Here you will take an unforgettable 1-hour cruise on
Portage Lake right up to the face of Portage Glacier. Watch for chunks of ice to
calve into the water with a splash! After the cruise, stop in at the Alaska
Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving
Alaska's wildlife. This center takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round,
providing spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Afterwards, return to
Anchorage by motorcoach. Tour departs from the Westmark Anchorage. Tour
includes: 1-hour cruise on the Portage Lake to Portage Glacier, a visit of the
Begich Boggs Visitor Center and a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation

Witness this amazing annual migration of California Gray Whales, traveling
over 5,000 miles from Baja California, to the nutrient rich waters of Alaska's
Bering Sea! You will depart this morning from Anchorage on a motorcoach to
Seward. At noon you will depart on a 4 hour cruise, where you will have a front
row seat as these magnificent mammals pass by the mouth of Resurrection Bay.
Watch for their bushy, heart shaped blow rising up to 13 feet in the air. A hot
lunch is included. Following the cruise, you will return by motorcoach to
Anchorage, arriving in Anchorage between 6:30pm and 7pm. Tour
