Ice Road Trucker Big Rig Experience in Anchorage

Get an exclusive look into the Ice Road Truckers of Alaska, as made famous by the History Channel. After being outfitted with a hardhat and orange vest, you will be driven to the port of Anchorage and receive a guided tour of the Carlile Transportation yard and a state-of-the-art “sleeper truck.” Then, a 10-minute adventure in the simulator will have you experiencing what it is like to be an ice road trucker on the Dalton Highway. As you wait for your chance to simulate the adventure, you will get a safety briefing and have your questions answered by the professionals. A 2-person minimum is required for the tour to operate.

Glacier and Wildlife Turnagain Arm Tour from Anchorage

Enjoy the intimacy of a small group tour as you travel along Turnagain Arm, one of the most scenic drives in the country. A professional Alaska tour guide will tell you all about the area and share their personal knowledge of Alaska on the way to Mt. Alyeska. Take in the spectacular views as you ride an aerial tram to the top of the mountain. Lunch is included in Girdwood. Following lunch you will visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where your guide will introduce you to Alaskan animals including moose, bears, elk, caribou, owls and more! You will also take a one hour cruise to the face of Portage Glacier and see the Begich-Boggs visitor center. Aboard the cruise watch chunks of ice calve into the water while park rangers share information and stories about glaciers, global warming and the flora and fauna of the area. As you travel back to Anchorage, keep your eyes open for Dall sheep and beluga whales!
