Tour 199

Experience
two of Alaska's most spectacular waterways, Prince William Sound
and the Copper River. Prince William Sound offers 3,000
square miles of shoreline bounded by glacially-carved fjords and
supports large numbers of sea birds and marine mammals including
one of the world's densest populations of sea otters and killer
whales. Two hundred and forty species of birds -- notably about
3,000 bald eagles and a dozen major seabird colonies -- are
found in the Sound and the adjacent Copper River Delta region.
The Copper River Delta is ringed by glaciers and snowcapped
peaks in the relatively young Chugach Mountain Range. The Copper
River is a massive wild river that flows out of the Wrangell St.
Elias National Park into the sound. While touring the
river by comfortable jet-boat you will explore Child's and Miles
Glaciers, the Million Dollar Bridge, and search for bears
feeding on wild salmon
