Standard Program

 Our standard tour itineraries include accommodation in tourist and moderate class hotels/motels. These hotels or motels are clean and comfortable. Some of these properties have additional amenities such as a small restaurant, shuttle bus service, a tour desk and some may also offer a complimentary continental breakfast. Meals are not typically included in our packages and are on your own. We cannot guarantee accommodations that include a continental breakfast. Generally speaking, standard accommodations in Anchorage have a courtesy shuttle for airport and train departures/arrivals.

 

Upgraded Program

 Our upgraded programs include better moderate and/or first class hotels wherever possible in the itinerary. The properties typically offer a greater range of services; such as a full service restaurant, room service or perhaps a pool and/or spa facilities. The room type primarily included is STANDARD. Important: Please keep in mind that Alaska can have very limited accommodation choices in certain parts, therefore in some places your accommodation might be tourist class. Please also note that often hotels in Alaska have a different standard than hotels that you find in other parts of the USA. Again room types included primarily are standard rooms.
Generally speaking upgraded accommodations in Anchorage do not have hotel shuttle services, yet we have included taxi transfers for your convenience.
If your itinerary includes a JOURNEY BY RAIL between Anchorage and Fairbanks, we automatically included deluxe dome car seating for you. (Rail journeys between Anchorage - Seward and Anchorage - Whittier will be in standard seating as currently there are no deluxe dome car available.)

Upon your request: A good number of hotels have upgraded or guaranteed view rooms, which we can quote and book for you, depending on availability. Higher prices will apply. Please contact us.
