 | Homer is known as the Halibut Capital of the World and offers some of
Alaska's best halibut fishing from mid-May to September. The boat trip itself is
a treat - cruising the beautiful shore line you regularly see sea otters,
whales, puffins, and other marine wildlife. The ship captains are friendly,
experienced fishermen who know where the fish are. During the trip, you will be
given instruction on the proper halibut fishing technique, your hook will be
baited, and the halibut will be handled for you. Fishing limit is 2 halibut per
person. Tour includes: All fishing gear and fish filleting. Not
included: Fishing license (approx. USD 20 per person), fish processing,
meals and gratuity. NOTE: In order to provide the best halibut fishing possible, the ride to the
fishing grounds may take anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours.
