Mendenhall Glacier Paddle & Trek Tour from Juneau
This trip begins with approx. 1 ¼ hours of paddling across Mendenhall Lake in an 8-person canoe. Take in the awe-inspiring glacier ahead as well as the blue icebergs of all shapes and sizes. Upon reaching the beach near the glacier's edge, trade in the paddles for backpacks and trekking poles. With the use of crampons, you will also trek on moderate glacier terrain exploring accessible features such as crevasses, ice caves and moulins. After your trek, return to your boats and paddle across the lake once more.
Tour includes: fully certified guides, all necessary paddling & glacier gear, roundtrip transportation from Juneau, hearty snack & beverages.

IMPORTANT NOTES: There is a 2 person minimum is required to operate this tour. No experience is necessary however you must be in good physical condition and able to paddle for for up to 5-6 miles roundtrip (approx. 2.5 hours) and hike for up to 2 miles roundtrip. The terrain is uneven and rocky, so sturdy hiking shoes are a must. Circumstances such as poor weather, inadequate footwear, or a slow pace may limit the time spent on the glacier. Unfortunately visiting specific glacier feature such as ice caves and moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the constantly changing nature of Mendenhall Glacier. Children have to be at least 8 years old in order to participate in this tour. This tour is not suitable for women who are pregnant.

Mendenhall Glacier Trek Tour from Juneau
This trip begins with a 4.5 mile moderate to challenging hike through the rainforest along Mendenhall Lake. The beginning of the trail is well maintained, while the second half is off the beaten path and can include areas of mud, slippery bedrock, loose gravel and multiple short, steep up and downhill sections. Once you reach the glacier, you will be outfitted in trekking gear. With the use of crampons, you will trek for up to 1 hour on moderate glacier terrain exploring accessible features such as crevasses, ice caves and moulins. Return to Juneau on the same rainforest path.
Tour includes: fully certified guides, all necessary gear, roundtrip transportation from Juneau, hearty snack & beverages.

Glacier View Guided Sea Kayaking Tour from Juneau

Tracy Arm Fjords Glacier Cruise Excursion from Juneau

Mendenhall Glacier Landing Tour from Juneau
Moments after departing Juneau, you will enjoy breathtaking vistas of the city, mountains, and glaciers. Helicopter Glacier Walkabout from Juneau

Helicopter Glacier Trekking is the most exciting way to explore the scenic wonders of the glaciers flowing from the Juneau Icefield. After a scenic 25 minute flight you will land on one of the glaciers located within the 1500 square-mile Juneau Icefield. Meet your professional glacier guide who will teach you basic mountaineering skills (no experience necessary) and the proper use of your equipment. On this non-strenuous, 1-hour interpretive walk, your guide will provide detailed explanations of glacier environments and allow ample time for photo opportunities. Trekking poles and crampons will provide superb balance and traction enabling you to travel easily on the gently rolling glacial terrain. Helicopter Glacier Extended Trek from Juneau

This trek is the ultimate Alaskan adventure on ice! It includes three hours hiking and climbing over the rugged glacier terrain of the Juneau Icefield. Helicopter Glacier Dog Sledding Tour from Juneau

Taku Lodge Feast & 5-Glacier Seaplane Discovery from Juneau
Taku Glacier Lodge offers a classic Alaskan experience with excellent views of the Taku Glacier. Reached by float plane from Juneau, the rustic wilderness lodge is famous for its daily traditional salmon barbecue lunch (included). The 35 minute flight to the lodge offers breathtaking views of the magnificent glaciers and deep blue crevasses of the Juneau Icefield. The plane will land on the Taku River, near the historic Taku Lodge. When the lodge was built in 1923, the area teemed with wildlife. Today bear, moose, wolves and wolverine make this their habitat; it is common to see black bears close to the lodge. During lunch, enjoy stories about the Lodge's storied past. 6-8 Hour Pack Creek Bear Preserve / Admiralty Island Bear Viewing Tour from Juneau
The tour starts from the Juneau International Airport (transfers to/from airport on own). Here you will receive an orientation and then you will board a classic Alaska float plane for an approx. 25 minute flight to Admiralty Island. Along the way, your guide will point out the topography and natural features of Admiralty Island seen out the window. You may be lucky and see whales or bears on the beach as you approach the island! Your aircraft will land on the water and taxi to the beach where you will offload. Once on the beach, you will spend the next approx. 5 hours in bear country, walking about a mile within the viewing estuary where bears are likely to be seen foraging or fishing for salmon. Afterwards flight back to Juneau. Return to Juneau at approx. 20:00H.  A box lunch and snack is included.

Good to know: Due to safety concerns, participants must be able to get in and out of the floatplane and walk to the end of a narrow float, stepping down into knee high water and wading to shore without any kind of railing or support for assistance (short distance). Once on shore participants may be on their feet for as much as 2 hours at a time, and must be capable of walking in high grass, uneven, muddy and watery ground (in knee high rubber boots or good waterproof hiking boots). Participants will be outside exposed to the weather for the duration of the ground portion of the tour in areas with no shelter of any kind, even on days that may be cool, wet and windy. No restroom facilities available.

NOTE: Children have to be at least 9 years old in order to participate in the this tour.
