The Kenai Backcountry Lodge is located on a glacier-carved
lake, accessible only by boat, in the Kenai National
Wildlife Refuge. The transfer location is easily reached
by car, not far from Cooper Landing.
This
beautiful, remote Alaskan lodge is surrounded by a million
acres of designated wilderness.
Originally built as a hunting lodge in the 1930s, the
addition of a few modern creature comforts makes this a
lodge experience that will reinvigorate your love for the
solitude and peace you find in nature.
The
spectacular sunset views from the lodge cannot be beat! In
addition, the lodge is environmentally friendly - it has a
hydroelectric system which provides the electricity for
the kitchen and laundry facilities.
