The family operated Gustavus Inn, built in 1928 as a homestead for a couple and their nine children, offers comfortable accommodation and personalizes service. Relax in the Inn cozy hearth room, enjoy a book from the naturalist library or sip a locally brewed beer at the six-stool bar.

Located approximately 9 miles from Bartlett Cove, it is a great home base for adventures into Glacier Bay National Park and Icy Strait. Adventures offered from the Inn include Glacier bay National Park cruise; ocean fishing for King and Silver Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish; whale-watching; guided and independent kayak trips; flight seeing; and hiking trails.

The comfortable new guest rooms offer either one queen bed or twin beds with a private bathroom. There are also two original homestead rooms with a shared hall bath that offer ocean views. Wireless internet connectivity (WI-FI) is available throughout the inn.

Meals are included and are served family style in the original homestead dining room. The owners maintain a full garden to bring the freshest ingredients, such as raspberries and baby carrots, to the table. Breakfast offerings are hearty, including homemade granola and sourdough pancakes. Dinner is its own adventure, with local fare such as fresh salmon, halibut and Dungeness crab, and a choice of desserts. Special diets are easily accommodated.
