Iniakuk Lake Lodge is an exclusive luxury wilderness lodge catering to clientele seeking elegance and independence in the Far North. The lodge was built in the summer of 1974 using local logs harvested from the surroundings stands of white and black spruce. At that time there was no electricity or running water. Today this lodge is a an exclusive resort with 24-hour electricity thanks to a state of the art solar power installation. During the summer there is hot and cold running water and cozy bedrooms with views of 5-mile Iniakuk Lake. In the winter the lodge heats with wood stoves and the cabins have portable toilets and there is a sauna for washing up under the Northern Lights. The host of the lodge is John Gaedeke, a second-generation Brooks Range guide. John was raised at Iniakuk, and is a knowledgeable host for your Alaska vacation.
The Lodge offers several activities, including guided float trips, nature photography, birding, and fishing, which are tailored to suit individual interests and fitness levels. Day 01: Today you will fly from Fairbanks to Bettles via scheduled air. Upon your arrival in Bettles, you will be met by a pilot from Iniakuk Lake Lodge for a short seaplane flight to the Lodge. After a brief orientation and introduction to the region, the various afternoon activities get underway.
Day 02 to 03: Participate in a variety activities, such as canoeing, fishing, wildlife viewing, nature photography, hiking, and birding. Explore nearby Brooks Range, one of the least visited wilderness areas in the world. Dall sheep, Grizzly bear, moose, wolves, and wolverines all make this area their home. The wide-open spaces with low vegetation make it easier to spot wildlife. The Northwest Arctic Caribou herd, one the largest in the world, migrate through the region annually.
Day 04: Today you will depart Iniakuk Lake Lodge by seaplane for the short flight to Bettles. In Bettles, connect with the scheduled flight to Fairbanks. Tour concludes upon your arrival in Fairbanks.

SUMMER PROGRAM: This all inclusive package includes roundtrip scheduled flight from Fairbanks to Bettles, floatplane flight from Bettles to Iniakuk Lake, three nights accommodations and all meals at the lodge. Guided and unguided activities include hiking for all fitness levels, fishing, canoeing, bird watching, and wildlife viewing.

SUMMER PROGRAM DATES AND RATES

Spend your days behind a dogsled crossing frozen ponds, winding along river valleys and between snow-laden stands of spruce trees. Come home each night to a modern log cabin, fabulous meals, and a place to warm your feet by the fire as the northern lights erupt in a dazzling display overhead. This is the ultimate in Alaskan experiences and comfort!
The lodge is located 60 miles north of the Arctic Circle, 6 miles outside Gates of the Arctic National Park and 180 degrees from anywhere you have ever been before.
Imagine your Alaska vacation beginning with a ski plane touching down in four feet of powdery snow as you land on your arrival day at Iniakuk Lake Lodge, 200 miles north of Fairbanks. Its "springtime" in the Brooks Range which means 14 hours of daylight and daytime temperatures around 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Your guide will take you up to the main lodge for lunch and get you settled in. The next days explore miles of groomed trails around the lodge cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. Or you may choose to sit by the wood fire and enjoy the incredible peace and quiet of the Brooks Range. Each trip is customized to meet your needs.

WINTER PROGRAM: This all inclusive package includes 3 or 5 nights accommodation; All meals, cold weather gear and equipment, and activities while at the lodge; All taxes. Guided and unguided activities include dog mushing, snowshoeing, skiing, cross country skiing, and Northern Lights viewing.

Payment Information: Iniakuk Wilderness Lodge REQUIRES a non-refundable deposit of 50% within 10 days of confirmation! The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival! Reservations made within 60 days prior require full payment at time of booking.
Refund / Cancellation Policy:
In case of a cancellation, deposit and final payment are non-refundable and non-transferable!
No refunds can be made for cancelled arrangements due to adverse weather, cancelled flights, or for substitution of facilities and/or equipment or minor inconveniences.
Flights: The flights to and from the lodge are weather dependent. Please plan an extra weather window day in Fairbanks after your lodge stay.
Winter Stays: During the winter time the lodge uses wood stoves for heating, the cabins have portable toilets and there is a sauna for washing up.
