Kodiak Island in Alaska
Grizzly Bear Viewing at it's Best!

Tour  101CTA from Anchorage

A lone Kodiak Grizzly bear.

A grizzly bear viewing tour in Kodiak offers Alaska visitors a unique experience watching and learning about Alaska wildlife in their natural habitat. Kodiak’s brown bears number over 3,000 with many more bears living along Alaska’s Katmai Coast. The proximity of these two large Alaska grizzly bear populations make Kodiak Island an ideal hub for Alaska wildlife trips out of Anchorage, AK. With few roads, bear viewing on Kodiak Island is typically pursued from aircraft or is based out of special bear viewing wilderness lodges.

If conditions are right, Russian Orthodox Church on Kodiak Island.your pilot may land to provide the best bear viewing and photo opportunities. After returning to the city of Kodiak, ground transfer is provided back to the hotel for overnight.

Bear viewing flights may be rescheduled due to local weather conditions. Kodiak has a maritime climate (the bears thrive in it) so we suggest you bring good raingear.
