Winterlake Lodge,
located at mile 194 along the historic Iditarod Trail,
offers luxurious accommodation in Alaska's remote
wilderness.
Join owner and chef Kirsten Dixon in the kitchen for
a wine tasting or cooking class, relax by the fire, soak
in the hot tub or or unwind in the lakeside wood burning
sauna.
In March, the lodge serves as the Finger Lake Checkpoint
during the Iditarod.
With its wellness programs, cooking classes, wine
tasting and numerous outdoor activities, the lodge is the perfect getaway for
anyone who loves
the outdoors and wants to escape from the busy
day to day life. The comfortable log cabins and cozy
main lodge are also the perfect setting for a
romantic weekend.

Day 1:
Anchorage to Winterlake
Depart
from Anchorage's Lake Hood
via ski plane
for your one
hour flight
to Winterlake
Lodge.
After welcoming
you to the
lodge, the staff
will will
provide a short
orientation and
take you to your
comfortable
cabin. A daily
activity sheet
and a menu
of the lodge's
award-winning
meals are
posted around
the main lodge.
The rest of the
day is at your
leisure to enjoy
one of the many
activities or
simply relax and
unwind.
Days 2+: Winterlake Lodge
Each day is free
to enjoy all the
activities
included with
your stay. Be
as physically
rigorous as you
like, or lay
back and enjoy a
fireside glass
of wine. Activities
include dog mushing,
cross country
skiing,
snowshoeing,
snowmobiling,
yoga, meditation
and massage. Guides
are available to
make your stay
more comfortable
and your
activities more
fun.
Lodge owner and renowned chef Kirsten Dixon
also offers
daily cooking
classes in the
spacious
kitchen.
Departure
Day:
After breakfast, depart on
a scenic
flight back to
Anchorage. Tour ends on
arrival.
Note: you can
also reach the
lodge by plane
from Talkeetna.

Outdoor activities
include sled dog rides, guided
cross country skiing and
snowshoe excursions,
snowmobiling, and exploratory
trips through Rainy Pass.
Instruction is offered for all
activities, and the trails
suit
beginners and experts alike. If
you prefer a more in-depth dog
sledding experience, try the
4 day
sled dog school.
Lodge-based activities include
cooking classes, wine tasting,
yoga, meditation, stretching and
massage. There is
also an extensive Alaskana book
and video library, and a
collection of board games.

April 4-6 - Springtime in
Alaska
The days are getting
longer! Join Chef Kirsten

to learn about springtime
savory and sweet dishes from
France. Activities at the
lodge include dog mushing,
snowmobiling, cross country
skiing, wine tasting, yoga,
complimentary massage,
cooking classes each day.
Return to Anchorage Sunday
afternoon.
If you are not able to participate in the culinary weekends as listed,
no worries,
when you visit the lodge,
you will have plenty of
opportunity to cook and
share your culinary
expertise.
Regular

Lodge, lodging, all meals during
stay at lodge, guide

Note: the rates are based on
24-hour periods, meaning if
you fly to the lodge on day
1 in the morning, you will
also depart the lodge in the

7:30am or 5:00pm, but
alternate departure times
